Thales: a bank card for the visually impaired

(CercleFinance.com) - Thales has announced its participation in the creation by Banque Postale, in collaboration with CB and fintech HandSome, of a bank card for the visually impaired, to be tested for six months from the end of October.


Designed and manufactured by Thales, the bankcard is equipped with a Bluetooth component and a round notch, enabling it to be quickly identified and correctly inserted into the merchant's payment terminal.

The card is associated with a mobile application that enables the customer to vocalize or display on the smartphone the information present on the payment terminal, and thus check the transaction amount before validating the payment with his or her secret code.
