LDC: slight drop in H1 sales

(CercleFinance.com) - Agrifood group LDC has posted H1 2024-25 sales of E2.
98bn, down 1.2% as reported (-3.9% organically), despite volume growth of 4.9% (+3.6% organically).

The resilience of poultry consumption, combined with the promotional efforts undertaken by the group have enabled it to record an improvement in volumes sold, despite persistent tensions over purchasing power, it explains.

Taking into account the delays in the integration of Groupe Routhiau and Groupe Pierre Martinet, LDC is now forecasting sales in excess of E6.2bn for FY 2024-25, compared with an initial target of E6.5bn.

It confirms its target of a return to a normative operating margin of around 5%, including the continuation of promotional efforts necessary to support market dynamics and guarantee the accessibility of its products to as many people as possible.
