Boeing: first AH-6 flight for Thailand

(CercleFinance.com) - Boeing has announced that the first of its eight AH-6 Little Bird light attack helicopters for the Royal Thai Army made a successful maiden flight on August 22 at its Mesa site in Arizona.


Following completion of this helicopter fleet, the group will train Thai pilots at its Mesa site and at the U.S. Army's Yuma Proving Ground, where they will learn to operate the Little Bird and take advantage of its versatile mission capabilities.

Thailand has acquired the AH-6 as part of its ongoing efforts to modernize its national defense capabilities. Featuring the latest fully integrated weapons, the aircraft has been designed for a wide range of missions and operating environments.
