Volkswagen: ID.7 Pro S travels 794km on a single charge

(CercleFinance.com) - Volkswagen reports that its new all-electric ID.
7 Pro S has covered a total of 794km on a single battery charge in a net driving time of 15 hours and 42 minutes (average speed around 50 km/h).

This far exceeds the model's maximum WLTP (combined) range of 709 kilometres, the automaker points out.

The sedan was driven on public roads and in normal traffic flow, as well as on a circuit of around 81 kilometres in the metropolitan area of Zug, south of Zurich.

The road profile corresponded to everyday driving, including main roads, sections of freeway and country roads with hilly transitions. Eight different drivers covered a total of 794 kilometres over two consecutive days on a single battery charge.

Average fuel consumption was exceptionally low, at 10.3 kWh/100 km. By comparison, the model's lowest WLTP value is 13.6, VW adds.
