Uber: strategic partnership with Avride

(CercleFinance.com) - Uber Technologies has announced a multi-year strategic partnership to enhance its Uber and Uber Eats platforms with delivery robots and autonomous vehicles from Avride, an Austin, Texas-based start-up.


As a result, when a consumer requests an eligible delivery or errand on the Uber Eats or Uber apps, they may be offered the option of using an Avride delivery robot or autonomous vehicle.

The delivery partnership will first launch on Uber Eats in Austin in the coming weeks, before expanding to Dallas and Jersey City later this year, with the mobility partnership set to launch for users in Dallas later next year.
