Eiffage: contract for gerontology center in Hérault region of France

(CercleFinance.com) - Eiffage Construction announced on Thursday that it had won a contract to design and build a gerontology center in the town of Lunel, near Montpellier (Hérault).


The construction group says its teams were chosen for this project last July, which aims to combine two aging sites into a single, more modern complex comprising 156 rooms spread over three floors.

Eiffage plans to use low-carbon concrete, energy-saving technical equipment, high-performance thermal insulation and natural lighting, as well as installing photovoltaic panels.

The architectural design is intended to create a 'home-like' environment for residents and caregivers, with residential architecture that promotes their well-being.

Construction is scheduled to start in March 2025, with handover in October 2026, representing 17 months of work.
