J&J: collaboration with USAID in Latin America & the Caribbean

(CercleFinance.com) - Johnson & Johnson announces a collaboration between USAID and the J&J Foundation to support healthcare workers in Latin America and the Caribbean.


The initiative aims to strengthen training, create career opportunities and improve institutions to offer better care, starting with Brazil and Colombia.

This action is part of the Americas Health Corps (AHC), which has already trained 236,000 professionals in 22 countries.

Atul Gawande, USAID's Assistant Administrator for Global Health, stresses 'the importance of this workforce in ensuring equitable access to care'.
