Precia: sale of software subsidiary Creative IT
(CercleFinance.com) - Industrial weighing specialist Precia announced on Thursday that it had sold its Lyon-based software subsidiary Creative IT to the TSS group, a B2B software publisher.
In a press release, Precia explains that production management software (MES) is a step too far from its strategic priorities in connected objects, automation or supervision.
The company nevertheless points out that the implementation of applications designed to digitalize its industrial customers remains, from its point of view, a 'major' strategic axis.
Acquired in April 2021, Creative IT generated sales of 3.6 million euros last year, or just over 2% of the Precia group's consolidated sales.
By joining TSS, a group of companies that publish and integrate business solutions, employing over 7.000 employees in Europe and covers some thirty vertical markets, Creative IT will find itself in an environment that will enable it to grow, according to Precia.
TSS belongs to the Canadian specialized software group Constellation Software (CSI)
