Casino: two sale agreements finalized

(CercleFinance.com) - In accordance with the agreements signed in May 2023, Casino announced that on September 30 it had sold its controlling 51% stake in 60 stores to Groupement les Mousquetaires, which had already held 49% for a year.


It has also finalized the sale (announced last June) in Corsica, to the Rocca group, of Codim 22, which employs all the employees of the stores sold, which will be operated under the Auchan banner, and which also owns the headquarters of Codim 2.

By finalizing these disposals according to schedule, Casino is continuing to refocus on its convenience brands. It now has almost 8,000 points of sale under its Casino, Vival, Spar, Naturalia, Monoprix and Franprix brands.

'To date, the continued operation under new banners of the 18 stores in Corsica and almost 380 hypermarkets and supermarkets on the mainland has preserved jobs for more than 17,000 people', the retail group points out.
