J&J: invests over $2bn in North Carolina facility

(CercleFinance.com) - Johnson & Johnson has announced an investment of over $2bn to build a biologics manufacturing facility in Wilson, North Carolina.


The facility will aim to increase production of innovative biologic medicines and support the company's plan to launch more than 70 new therapies by the end of the decade.

The facility will focus on areas such as oncology, immunology and neuroscience, and is expected to employ around 420 highly skilled people when operational, with construction scheduled to begin in H1 2025.
