EssilorLuxottica: makes two acquisitions

(CercleFinance.com) - EssilorLuxottica today announced that it has completed its previously announced acquisitions of the Supreme brand and an 80% stake in Heidelberg Engineering, with both transactions cleared by the relevant competition authorities.


The Supreme brand was acquired from VF Corporation, a world leader in branded lifestyle apparel, footwear and accessories, for a base purchase price of $1.5bn in cash, subject to customary adjustments.

Heidelberg Engineering is a German company specialising in digital surgical visualization and diagnostic technologies, as well as healthcare IT solutions for medical ophthalmology.
