TotalEnergies: FID for a project in Suriname

(CercleFinance.com) - TotalEnergies announces the final investment decision (FID) for the 'GranMorgu' project on offshore block 58, Suriname, in which the French group is the operator with a 50% interest, alongside APA Corporation.


The GranMorgu project will develop the oil discoveries of the Sapakara and Krabdagu fields, located 150 kilometers off the Surinamese coast and containing recoverable reserves estimated at over 750 million barrels.

It includes a floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) unit with a capacity of 220,000 barrels per day. Total investment is estimated at around $10.5 billion, with production scheduled to begin in 2028.
