TF1: audiences down in September on an annual basis
(CercleFinance.com) - Television group TF1 lost ground on the stock market in mid-day trading on Monday, after reporting a decline in audience figures for the month of September.
In a press release, the broadcasting group said it had made a "strong entry" in a competitive context still marked by major sporting events, namely the Paralympic Games.
The group reported that its audience share among viewers aged four and over rose by 3.8 points month-on-month to 27.3%.
It even gained 9.1 points to 34.8% among women responsible for purchases under the age of fifty (FRDA-50), its second-best month of the year.
Among 25-49 year-olds, another closely watched target, audience share rose by 9.4 points to 31.7%, its third-best month of the year.
On an annual basis, however, all these figures are down, since audience share reached 27.5% among 4+ viewers in September 2023, 34.2% among FRDA-50 viewers and 32% among 15-49 year-olds.
At 2:00 pm, TF1 shares were down around 3%, while the SBF 120 was down 1.8% at the same time.
