Riber sells MBE 412 cluster in Finland

(CercleFinance.com) - Riber announces the sale of a fully automated MBE 412 cluster platform to Vexlum, a Finnish supplier of advanced laser devices for quantum technology applications, a new order to be delivered in 2025.


The platform will be used to establish a pilot line for the growth of optical devices covering the visible and near-infrared spectrum. The main focus will be on VECSEL (Vertical External Cavity Surface Emitting Laser) structures.

The fully-automated MBE 412 cluster will be the first machine of this type in Finland, a key country for the development and manufacture of next-generation semiconductors in Europe, and the 25th in operation since its launch in 2010.
