Precia: decline in 1st half results
(CercleFinance.com) - Precia reports net income (group share) of 4.
81 million euros for the first six months of 2024, compared with 6.74 million a year earlier, as well as current operating income of 7.5 million, compared with 10.6 million for the same period in 2023.
Thanks to better cost control, the supplier of weighing instruments explains that it succeeded in improving its gross margins, but its results were impacted by a wage policy that decided to follow inflation levels.
Sales fell by 5% to 81.9 million euros, mainly due to France, where they suffered from an unfavorable base effect. In an uncertain market context, Precia says it is 'cautious, but confident, about the outlook for the second half of the year'.
