Crédit Agricole: invests in 11 wind farms
(CercleFinance.com) - Crédit Agricole announced on Friday that it had acquired a 32% stake in 11 French wind farms in operation through one of its subsidiaries.
Crédit Agricole Transitions & Énergies, its division that supports and facilitates the environmental transitions of the group's customers, has invested in this wind farm, alongside a pool of investors via its Crédit Agricole Energies & Territoires fund.
Located in the Hauts-de-France, Bourgogne-Franche-Comté and Grand Est regions of France, this project has an installed capacity of 127 MW, generating 250 GWh, equivalent to the average annual consumption of 43,000 households.
The green bank states that this first equity investment by the Crédit Agricole Energies & Territoires fund is part of its strategy of acquiring generation assets aimed at supplying the Crédit Agricole group's customers locally with low-carbon energy.
For the record, CA has set itself the target of reaching 2GW of installed capacity by 2028.
