USA: +0.2% household spending in August
(CercleFinance.com) - Consumer spending by US households rose by $47.
2 billion (+0.2%) in August compared with the previous month, according to monthly data from the Commerce Department.
Their incomes rose at the same time by $50.5 billion (+0.2% month-on-month) and their savings rate, i.e. personal savings as a percentage of disposable personal income, stood at 4.8% in August.
