Costco: quarterly EPS up nearly 9%

(CercleFinance.com) - Costco Wholesale on Thursday evening reported EPS of $5.
29 for Q4 2023-24, compared with $4.86 in the same period last year, an increase that includes a non-recurring net tax benefit of 14 cents per share.

Net sales for the quarter rose by 1% to $78.2bn as reported, but by 5.4% LFL (and by 6.9% excluding the impact of variations in gasoline prices and currencies).

For the full year ended 1 September (which included one week less than the previous year), Costco posted EPS of $16.56, on sales up 5% to $249.6bn.
