Eurazeo and Kurma to launch new healthtech fund

(CercleFinance.com) - Eurazeo and its subsidiary Kurma Partners are to launch a new investment fund dedicated to young innovative companies in the healthcare sector ('healthtech'), the two companies announced on Friday.


With three investments already made, the fund, named 'Kurma Biofund IV', will focus on the creation and financing of European companies involved in the discovery and development of new therapeutic approaches.

Since its inception in 2009, Kurma has financed 63 companies, a strategy that has resulted in more than six exits via M&A and seven via IPOs.

Among its most notable recent transactions were the sales of Amolyt Pharma to AstraZeneca and Emergence Therapeutics to Eli Lilly.

The fund will be officially launched at a press conference in Paris on Thursday October 3.

Kurma Partners has been part of the Eurazeo group since December 2022.
