Dassault Systèmes: a sustainable city project with Meudon

(CercleFinance.com) - Dassault Systèmes announced on Thursday that it will be partnering the town of Meudon, located in the Hauts-de-Seine department, in a project aimed at creating a sustainable city.


Under the terms of the agreement, the technology group will offer the municipality its simulation software to identify the town's urban heat islands, as well as ways of improving the thermal comfort of its 47,000 inhabitants.000 inhabitants.

In detail, the project will use Dassault Systèmes' 'Simulia' applications to create virtual twins of three public spaces in Meudon, where development projects are underway with the aim of transforming them into greener spaces.

The simulations aim to calculate and evaluate air circulation and temperature within these three sites, taking into account weather conditions at different times of the day, the layout of buildings, trees, roads, soil, wind, sunlight and other factors.

Dassault Systèmes is headquartered in Vélizy-Villacoublay, a town adjacent to Meudon.
