Commerzbank: confident about outlook for 2027

(CercleFinance.com) - Commerzbank shares are up over 2% in Frankfurt, as its management board said it expected its return on tangible equity (RoTE) to rise to over 12% by 2027, a higher level than initially forecast.


The German bank also expects its net profit to rise considerably to over three billion euros in 2027, enabling a significant acceleration and growth in its return of capital to shareholders.

Commerzbank is thus targeting payout ratios of over 90% for the years 2025 to 2027, but no higher than net profit after deduction of AT1 coupon payments. This measure will be subject to approval by the ECB and the German Financial Supervisory Authority.
