Commerzbank: interim CEO to leave on Monday
(CercleFinance.com) - Commerzbank announces that, in agreement with its supervisory board, CEO Manfred Knof will leave the Group on 30 September, having said earlier this month that he was not seeking a second term.
Manfred Knof joined Commerzbank at the beginning of 2021 as CEO, having previously held positions at Dresdner Bank, Allianz and Deutsche Bank, among others. He has focused on the bank's business model in recent years.
On Tuesday evening the Supervisory Board appointed Bettina Orlopp as his successor as CEO. At the same time, she will retain her position as CFO on a transitional basis, until a successor has been appointed.
