Herige: EBITDA margin down in H1

(CercleFinance.com) - Herige has reported net income of 29.
4 million euros for the first half of 2024, compared with 8.5 million a year earlier, but with an EBITDA margin down 2.8 points to 5.6% on sales down 13.5% to 215.6 million.

This trend reflects both the deterioration in the new construction and renovation market (-32.6% in single-family housing starts over 12 months) and the political crisis in France, which has reinforced a climate of uncertainty among households.

'For the second half of fiscal 2024, we anticipate a continuation of the deteriorated market conditions. However, we remain confident in our ability to adapt to market cycles", says Chairman of the Management Board Benoît Hennaut.
