AkzoNobel: about to lay off 2000 staff

(CercleFinance.com) - AkzoNobel has announced measures to cut costs and improve the efficiency of its functions, a plan that will involve the elimination of around 2,000 positions worldwide.
These structural adjustments should be complete by the end of 2025.

The chemical group specialising in paints and coatings explains that this initiative aims to simplify its operations, speed up decision-making and streamline the company's management structure.

The company says it aims to accelerate profitable growth by becoming more agile in volatile markets and by offsetting headwinds such as rising labor costs.
