IBM: climate AI model developed with NASA

(CercleFinance.com) - IBM announced on Monday the launch of an open source artificial intelligence (AI) model dedicated to climate issues.


Developed with NASA, in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Energy's Oak Ridge National Laboratory, this open access program should enable researchers, developers and companies to anticipate short-term weather trends, as well as make longer-term climate change projections.

IBM points out that the model, powered by 40 years of NASA Earth observation, can be downloaded from the common page it shares with the US space agency on the Hugging Face community platform.
