Bank of America: 165 new branches planned by 2026
(CercleFinance.com) - Bank of America announced on Monday that it intends to open about 165 new branches in the US by 2026, having just invested over $bn in its network in the last ten years.
The Charlotte, North Carolina-based group says that it plans to open 40 new branches by the end of the year, having already opened around 100 in the last two years.
While most of our customers use our digital tools for their day-to-day transactions, they visit our branches to have face-to-face conversations about more complex financial matters or their larger projects, the institution said.
These projects come at a time when Bank of America has just completed an investment of over $5bn in the renovation and modernization of its branch network, covering more than 3,000 sites.
Bank of America has about 246 million customers, i.e. more than 75% of the American population, with 30% of its network located in low- and middle-income areas.
