Alstom: delivers 1st Metropolis train to DMRC in India

(CercleFinance.com) - Alstom has successfully handed over the first Metropolis train for Delhi Metro Rail Corporation's (DMRC) Phase IV, from its plant in Sricity (Andhra Pradesh).


These 100% Indian-built trains are designed to achieve a safety speed of 95 km/h and an operating speed of 85 km/h, with GOA 4 driverless functionality.

This order covers the delivery of 52 trainsets, each comprising six cars. The project is designed to serve three different DMRC lines, two of which are extensions of existing lines 7 and 8, and the new Gold Line 10 linking Aerocity to Tughlakabad.
