Voltalia: commissions agrivoltaic demonstrator
(CercleFinance.com) - Voltalia announces the commissioning of its new agrivoltaic demonstrator in Poisy, Haute-Savoie, an innovative project designed to study the interactions between photovoltaic infrastructures and cattle breeding, with a view to developing agrivoltaics.
A Mission company since 2021, the renewable energies group has set itself the target of having 50% of the capacity of its solar power plants in operation located on co-used or reclaimed land by 2027, compared with 39% by the end of 2023.
With a capacity of 250 kilowatts, the Poisy demonstrator covers an area of 7,820 m², including 1,152 m² covered by six rows of solar panels arranged at different heights to compare the effects on animal behaviour and microclimate.
