Rolls-Royce signs contract with Netinera in Germany

(CercleFinance.com) - Rolls-Royce is to refurbish 170 mtu rail PowerPacks for Netinera's regional trains.
The mtu systems power regional trains in the Lint fleet in Rhineland-Palatinate and Bavaria, Germany.

Netinera is one of Germany's largest transport companies, operating local and regional public transport services with buses and trains.

The agreement runs until 2028 and provides for the complete overhaul of PowerPacks using the so-called 'reman' process. These are mtu propulsion systems compliant with the EU Stage IIIB emissions standard and based on the 6H1800R85L engine.
