USA: existing home sales down in August

(CercleFinance.com) - Sales of existing homes in the US contracted by 2.
5% in August 2024 compared with the previous month, to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 3.86 million, according to the National Federation of Realtors (NAR).

The median sales price of existing homes rose 3.1% from August 2023 to $416,700, and the inventory of unsold existing homes rose 0.7% from the previous month to 1.35 million at the end of August.
