Alstom: E63m investment in Italy

(CercleFinance.com) - On Thursday, rail manufacturer Alstom unveiled a E63m investment plan for Italy up to 2026.


At its Savigliano site in Piedmont, the French group explains that it plans to build new buildings dedicated to the inspection of tests on its hydrogen trains and its Avelia Stream 300 TGVs.

The complex will also benefit from the addition of new production lines for its regional trains, with the aim of increasing capacity.

At Vado Ligure, near Genoa, Alstom plans to expand its activities with the construction of a new building for the maintenance of its regional trains and the increase of the site's production capacity.

Meanwhile, in Nola, near Naples, the Group also plans to expand the site, notably with the installation of a paint shop for high-speed trains.

Alstom explains that it also intends to renovate its existing offices in Bologna and invest in the installation of solar panels on some of its Italian sites.
