Campari: takes minority stake in Capevin Holdings
(CercleFinance.com) - On Tuesday Campari announced that it has taken a 14.
6% minority stake in Capevin Holdings, the South African company that owns the CVH Spirits Scotch whisky house, for E82.6m.
CVH Spirits - whose brands Campari already distributes in France and South Korea - produces Bunnahabhain, Deanston, Tobermory and Ledaig whiskies, as well as Black Bottle.
The Italian wine and spirits group states that it has obtained a seat on the board of Capevin Holdings, and has adopted a mechanism to protect its stake.
It paid for the stake from its free cash.
