Lacroix: Symbiose plant ahead of schedule

(CercleFinance.com) - Lacroix announced on Tuesday that its new-generation Symbiose plant, based in Maine-et-Loire, is well ahead of its initial targets.

After 30% growth in 2023, growth at this technology site should continue with the same intensity in 2024, with a first-half increase of around 35% compared with the first half of 2023.

With growth set to consolidate in the second half of the year, Lacroix expects to achieve sales of 100 million euros at this site by 2024, three years ahead of the initial plan.

The plant specializes in the assembly of electronic boards for sectors such as the Internet of Things (IoT), home automation, industry, avionics and defense.

As an indication, Lacroix estimates that 60% of Airbus and Boeing commercial aircraft delivered since 2021 carry at least one electronic board manufactured at Symbiose.

In addition, around 80% of water towers in France are remotely controlled by electronic equipment manufactured at Beaupréau.

Lacroix points out that the site, which employs some 500 people, still has significant growth potential, given the surface area still available and its development capabilities.
