Siemens: signs strategic partnership with Merck AG

(CercleFinance.com) - German pharmaceutical group Merck AG announced on Monday the signing of a strategic partnership with Siemens aimed at using digital transformation to improve the efficiency of its production processes.


Under the terms of the agreement, Siemens will become Merck's preferred supplier of smartfacturing solutions for its three core businesses (pharmaceuticals, life sciences and electronics).

Both partners - which point out that they have been working together for 145 years - explain that their aim is to bring products to market faster and more cost-effectively, and also to focus on sustainable development.
