E.ON: develops electric recharging with Siemens

ON Drive Infrastructure have signed an agreement to provide an intelligent and efficient fast-charging infrastructure for millions of electric vehicles on the road in Europe.

The two companies have signed a comprehensive framework agreement that includes access to the Sifinity Control online management service, in addition to DC charging stations.

The framework agreement will enable the two companies to strengthen the charging infrastructure throughout Europe, particularly in Germany, Italy, Sweden and the UK.

This will enable E.ON to launch at least 1,000 new high-power public charging points per year.

Arjan Van Der Eijk, Chief Operating Officer of E.ON Drive Infrastructure said: 'With Siemens, we have another strong supplier on board to support us with its solutions for the expansion of our public charging network in Europe. The combination of reliable hardware and tailor-made services ensures a stable network and optimized charging'.
