Nokia wins two data center contracts

(CercleFinance.com) - Nokia announced on Monday that its IP network routers and optical transport systems have been chosen by CoreWeave, a start-up specializing in AI-based cloud computing.

The Finnish equipment supplier states that the deployment of these infrastructures within CoreWeave's European and American data centers should enable the latter to improve its performance by more than 30% on the basis of the same energy consumption.

With the explosion in demand for AI and machine learning applications, Nokia believes it is in a position to meet - with its portfolio of IP and fiber optic products, as well as its high-performance FP5 processors - the programming and customization needs required by players in the sector.

Nokia also announced that it had deployed its 'Nokia Deepfield Defender' anti-DDoS solution on behalf of NL-ix, another data center operator, to help it protect itself 'in seconds' against possible attacks from malicious actors.
