Euronext: a new range of bond indices with MTS

(CercleFinance.com) - On Monday Euronext, in cooperation with its fixed-income platform MTS, announced the launch of a new range of bond indices designed to cover European government bonds.


The stock exchange operator says that this offering will consist of 26 indices designed to measure the yields of euro-denominated sovereign bonds by ten countries from the monetary union.

In particular, it is intended to build on the existing Euronext MTS EGB Broad GR index, designed to reflect the performance of European government bonds listed on the MTS electronic trading platform for replication by international institutional investors.

Euronext and MTS also plan to launch the Euronext MTS EU Gross Return index, to be reviewed monthly, again a tool for ETFs and investment funds looking for a benchmark index.

Euronext says that, with the launch of this new offering, it aims to solidify its current position as a leading index provider.
