Hermès: inaugurates leather goods factory in Riom

(CercleFinance.com) - Hermès continues to invest in its production capacities and inaugurates its twenty-third leather goods factory in Riom (Puy-de-Dôme).


The Riom leather goods factory is home to 250 craftsmen trained locally in the company's know-how.

The presence of a Hermès leather goods factory in Sayat for over 20 years, and the establishment of the Hermès School of Craftsmanship in Riom in 2022, support the transmission of the know-how necessary for the expertise of the House's saddlery and leather goods craftsmen, it says.

The leather goods project is in line with the company's eco-responsible approach, which aims to limit the artificialization of surfaces, to choose local partner companies and to source and use sustainable materials for the renovation, management adds.
