SES: to provide services to NATO members

(CercleFinance.com) - The NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA) has awarded SES a contract to provide high-performance, low-latency secure satellite communications services via its Medium-Earth Orbit (MEO) constellation.

This order will facilitate the global missions of the armed forces and governmental organizations and agencies of NATO member states.

Worth $200m, the MEO Global Services (MGS) contract is of indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) nature, and is renewable twice for one year as an option.

The MGS program will be available to all NATO countries, including the USA and Luxembourg, who are founding members of the agreement.

We have developed O3b mPOWER to meet the needs of governments for mission-critical connectivity, and have also worked closely with NATO nations to ensure that we deliver the expected level of performance, reliability, safety and control from day one. We are honored to begin providing this new service to governments, including those of the US and Luxembourg, SES said.
