Neoen: signs PPA with SmartestEnergy in Australia

(CercleFinance.com) - Neoen has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with SmartestEnergy for 50% of the electricity to be generated by the future Culcairn solar power plant (440 MWp / 350 MWac) in the state of New South Wales (NSW), Australia.


SmartestEnergy is an independent energy distributor specializing in the supply of renewable energy to businesses via Australia's National Electricity Market (NEM).

The 4-year contract will start at the end of 2026. It will enable SmartestEnergy to meet the growing demand for renewable energy from commercial and industrial businesses in New South Wales.

In addition to this PPA, Neoen had already won a Long-Term Energy Services Agreement (LTESA) for Culcairn Solar Farm via a tender launched by AEMO Services as part of the NSW State 'Electricity Infrastructure Roadmap' program.
