Ryanair: applies to the IAA for more flight slots

(CercleFinance.com) - Ryanair announces that it has applied to the Irish Aviation Authority (IAA) for additional slots for flights chartered by Leinster Rugby to Bristol, La Rochelle and Cardiff in December 2024, as well as in January and February 2025, to enable the team to participate in the European Rugby XV Cup and league matches.

Ryanair fears that the IAA will refuse these slots due to the traffic cap at Dublin Airport imposed in 2007.

The airline is urging Transport Minister Eamon Ryan to order the IAA to approve these additional slots, including for Christmas flights and international rugby matches.

Ryanair has sent a formal letter to the Minister to lift the 32 million passenger cap at Dublin Airport.
