Aviva: EU clears acquisition of certain activities

(CercleFinance.com) - The European Commission has cleared under the EU Merger Regulation the acquisition of joint control of part of the onshore wind farm business of Aviva plc (UK) by CK Infrastructure Holdings (CKI) (Bermuda) and CK Asset Holdings (CKA) (Cayman Islands).


The transaction focuses on the generation of electricity from onshore wind farms in the UK.

The Commission concluded that the notified transaction would not raise competition concerns, given its limited impact on the European Economic Area.
