Cybergun: sale of its civilian division completed
(CercleFinance.com) - Replica firearms manufacturer Cybergun confirmed on Wednesday that it had completed the sale of its civil division, with the aim of eventually refocusing on its defense-related activities.
The asset sale agreement concluded with its partner, Evike, mainly concerns the division's product inventory, but also intellectual property rights.
The Group points out that it had chosen to sell off part of its merchandise stock during the summer, representing sales of over one million euros, in order to cash in the proceeds immediately.
The total amount of the transaction should thus come to a maximum of 9.3 million euros in the event of the effective transfer of all the assets concerned, with 2.8 million paid in 2024, 4.1 million in 2025 and the balance spread over two years.
Historically positioned in the civilian and recreational segment with airsoft, airgun and leisure shooting pistols, since 2014 Cybergun has developed a military division dedicated to the training of armed forces and police.
With this refocusing on its military division, whose 2023 sales amounted to 21.4 million euros, the company will have to initiate a reorganization whose non-current expenses are estimated at around 600.000 euros to its cash position.
In a press release, Cybergun states that it plans to communicate shortly on the planned use of the funds generated by the structuring operation, and to present a new roadmap focused on profitable growth.
