Neoen wins two projects in Ireland
(CercleFinance.com) - Neoen announces that it has won two projects with a total capacity of around 170 MWp in the fourth RESS 4 government tender in the Republic of Ireland.
The projects are Johnstown North Solar in County Wicklow (29 MWp) and Garr Solar in County Offaly (141 MWp).
The two plants are scheduled to come on stream in 2027 and 2028 respectively.
These two new projects significantly strengthen Neoen's Irish portfolio, which already includes three solar farms for a total of 58 MWp, eight wind farms in operation, with a total capacity of 53 MW, as well as 80 MWp won in the RESS 2 tender.
Cyril Perrin, Managing Director of Neoen Ireland, comments: 'On the strength of these successes, we are actively pursuing the development of our wind, solar and storage projects - three technologies essential to balancing the electricity grid and decarbonizing the Irish energy mix. '
