Sanofi: a new production unit named 'Modulus

(CercleFinance.com) - Sanofi today inaugurated a new production unit in Neuville-sur-Saône (Rhône-Alpes), called 'Modulus', to produce its next vaccines and biologics.


This new plant concept, entirely imagined by Sanofi's industrial teams, is a world first.

Modulus can be adapted to manufacture up to 4 vaccines or biomedicines simultaneously, and can be reconfigured in a matter of days or weeks to change technological platforms, compared with several months or even years in conventional plants.

This plant represents an investment of almost 500 million euros. It will be operational by the end of 2025, once the installations have been qualified and the manufacturing processes validated.
