Boeing: a satellite for quantum exchanges

(CercleFinance.com) - Boeing has announced the planned launch in 2026 of a satellite, dubbed Q4S, designed to demonstrate quantum exchange capabilities in orbit.


Quantum networking capabilities in space can open up new vistas, helping researchers gather more data about the Earth and space environment.

The technology can pave the way for applications in commercial, civil and military sectors, including agriculture, climate science, navigation and secure communication.

Quantum sensors are far more accurate than today's leading-edge instruments, and quantum computers have the capacity to process vast quantities of data, which could revolutionize many sectors', says the group.
