WPP: acquisition of the New Commercial Arts agency

(CercleFinance.com) - WPP announced on Tuesday that it had acquired New Commercial Arts (NCA), a creative agency specializing in customer experience consulting.


Founded in 2020 by experienced industry professionals James Murphy and David Golding, NCA has rapidly become one of the UK's most dynamic independent agencies, winning work for clients such as Sainsbury's, Vodafone and Paramount+.

NCA, which has around 90 employees in London and Glasgow, has also teamed up with the Glasgow School of Art.

In a press release, WPP states that NCA is to join its Ogilvy agency network, with James Murphy taking over as head of the UK division, where he started out as a trainee.

Fiona Gordon, who has held the role of Managing Director of Ogilvy UK since 2021, has been promoted to Managing Director of Advertising for the entire Ogilvy network.
