Lockheed Martin: C-130J partnership with Tata ASL

(CercleFinance.com) - Lockheed Martin and Tata Advanced Systems Limited have announced a partnership to extend their collaboration on the C-130J Super Hercules aircraft.


The agreement includes the creation of a maintenance facility in India to support the Indian Air Force (IAF) fleet, and manufacturing opportunities for the IAF's Medium Transport Aircraft (MTA) program, subject to government approvals.

Lockheed Martin will continue to produce C-130Js in the United States, and may establish additional capabilities in India if awarded the MTA contract.

This alliance also strengthens the strategic relationship between India and the United States, emphasizes Lockheed Martin.
