Moderna: Labal (Quebec) site obtains DEL licence

(CercleFinance.com) - Moderna announced today that its manufacturing plant in Laval, Quebec, has obtained a Pharmaceutical Establishment License (PEL) from Health Canada.


This certification confirms the plant's compliance with rigorous safety and quality standards, authorizing it to produce drug substances.

Once the license is in place, the plant will proceed with the final qualification process, enabling it to manufacture in Canada a portfolio of mRNA vaccines against respiratory viruses from 2025 onwards, including COVID-19 and, subject to Health Canada approval, respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) and seasonal influenza.
