Deutsche Telekom: EU approves joint acquisition in the USA

(CercleFinance.com) - The European Commission has approved the acquisition of joint control of Metronet Holdings of the US by KKR & Co.
of the US and Deutsche Telekom of Germany.

The transaction mainly concerns the provision of fiber optic telecommunications services to customers and businesses in the US.

The Commission concluded that the notified transaction would not raise competition concerns, given the limited impact on the European Economic Area and the fact that the companies are not active in the same markets or in vertically related markets.
